Buses run regularly from Christchurch city and airport as well as other main centres. In most cases you will be delivered direct to Skiwi House. E-mail Information Centre - methven@i-site.org for schedule and bookings.

2. Where can I hire skis, bikes, snowboards, fishing gear/ licenses etc?

3. How far is it from anywhere in NZ to Skiwi House?

4. Where can I buy groceries?
There's 2 supermarkets conveniently located at the end of our street, 2 minutes walk away and open from 7am to 9 pm, 7 days a week.

5. I've never skied or snowboarded before. Are package deals available?
You can get lessons, ski or board hire & lift passes all in the one package, on the mountain. See nzski.com for more information.

6. How easy is it to organise transport up to Mt Hutt?
Very easy! The buses stop regularly at our door every day.

7. How far is Methven from Mt Hutt?
45 minutes to the Mt Hutt carpark by car.

8. Can I eat out in Methven?
Definitely. There is a large range of excellent cafes, restaurants and bars to suit all budgets and tastes.
